Kherlen
Hi!I just got S738 Walkman player and I've found some things that still mysterious for me...1. Sound quality sounds tiny little worse that A810 series Walkman2. Included noise canceling headphones sound worse that EX-082 (found in A810)3. There are tick tick sound when volume is going up and down. i.e: from 8 up to 15 and from 15 down to 8What do you think? Other than these problems i think is awesome player that could really replace iPod!!
0 tds101
Sounds like you got a bad player (still, check to see if the headphone cable is properly inserted into the headphone jack). Also, go to the common settings menu and do a reset and reformat of the player if the first option didn't help. If this didn't help then exchange it for another, and see if the problem resurfaces.PS: Welcome to Sony Insider!!!!

Have you heard small tick ticks?

I am using Walkman players and I never had this problem. I know about beep settings and that beep lot more louder than the silent tick tick... I occurs when sound goes up and down. In 15 to 30 and 30 to 15.Could you try it out for me? on your player? (Make sure you turned off beep in common settings)
0 Anthony
You may have a faulty set of Noise Reduction headphones. Try a few things....1/ See if you have the problem with NR both on and off.2/ Try with a different set of headphones.3/ Ensure that the headphone jack on the player is free of dirt and grit( blow into it).You appear to have typical sound problems associated with faulty signal transmission.
