which md deck?

Hi!

I am already in possession of an sony mz-n520 which i often use for playing mds on my hifisystem. The problem i have with this technique is the very low(quiet)line out. that is why i´m looking for a good md deck(i hope it´s the right word.i´m from germany )

so,

does anyone of you have any experience with it and can recommend a certain deck?

i misread your question, u can probably get amplified speakers for your portable. i have Sony SRS 150, they are pretty good, though i dont know if they still make them.

a deck is certainly another option to go.........

My problem is that the deck must have mdlp for playing all my lp4 recorded mds, and it should not be so expensive.

How are the Onkyo or the Kenwood decks?? Is Sony the best??

It is said Onkyo is OEMed by SHARP.

Some of KENWOOD is not bad, such as Q77, T55, in my opinion.

SONY IS NOT THE BEST, NO ONE is the best...

I think that the JE520 is pre-MDLP and can play/record SP only, but the JE640 can play your LP4 MDs.

Sony may not be the best, but they certainly have made the most decks. Look here under "Decks": http://www.minidisc.org/equipment_browser.html. Good luck.

Look on ebayexpress under minidisc, several MDLP decks for a pretty fair price, .

The Sony MDS-JB980 is undoubtedly one of the best affordably priced decks, mine's been going tirelessly for 4 years. My first deck was the JE-640 and that was very good too, though the sound quality, build and facilities of the JB980 are certainly a few notches up from that.
