Well, I installed 1.0.3 version today (the euro one), and was so curious to see what changed. So far, NOTHING. Still 1 to 2 minutes to load, then once displayed one more minute before you can use it. No more infos about what's going on etc. Is this a bad joke?

I will let you know if I saw something new or improved after using it a little more...

Edit: I'm downloading and installing SS 3.4. But I'm afraid there's still UNICODE missing... I'll tell you too if there's some good news.

I should be posting this in the blog but seriously, not too many people will read that there, since more people will read this here. I had the same opinion about it when I installed it. when the update downloaded it began uninstalling the older version, so that to me worried for the library and eventually issues in the long run. After everything updated, and I rebooted, I left it for 2 days, since I was too busy to transfer files to my walkman and had about 120 mps to resort and idtag correctly.

finaly got time this weekend and opened up the damn thing, and yes, it still took 4 minutes for it to open for me, like it did before, But granted the program was adding the 120 mp3's to the library automatically after I moved them to my "watched" folder. So no problem with importing mp3s.

then I checked to see if all of them were there, and yes they were, replaced some others and then checked for duplicate artists/albums, found 4, with 3 being from the new mp3's imported and one being from the older mp3s. Renaming the 3 new ones took faster than I expected and the songs switched from one album to the other in less time than before the update. As well, there were some other duplicate albums which seemed to have joined together after the update.

Then, I hooked up the A3000 and let it sync, thinking this would take a while and well seriously slow down CP, and even make it hang 2-3 times, nothing of this sort happened what so ever. I was puzzled.

Once I connected the unit, it said connecting at the bottom, and then if I recall correctly, stated found A3000 or connected A3000, one of those 2. then the updating of the unit library began, it took a while, 750 songs, and was removing some songs I deleted on it as well. But suprisingly, no hanging up of the program and I could use it(the program) as well when it was updating the library on the unit.

When transferring files, it actually shows the count of files that are left to go before transfer is finished, counting down from the top to the bottom. Also seemed to be faster with no hang ups for me like before.

playlist transfer is no problem either, and interesting enough, I had one song on the playlist that wasn't in the library so the program went ahead and imported it into CP, nice touch.

Finally the best part for me, and a surprise, CPU usage is down dramatically for me, and the memory usage seems to be now in the 6-16meg range, at least when I was using it.

the problem is, this could all be working for me, since initially CP installed without any hitches and has worked 90% of the time since first install.
