Karmageddon
argh!okay well for all my experiences I have avoided most of the SS hassle over the years, until now.i had to do a re-format due to a failing hard drive and backed up my files (36 GBs in about 800 Albums) using the methods listed here on teh forums, to a tee. have them on my Lacie USB drive. I re-installed all my software and re-upped s.s. 3.4 (from my MZ-RH1)and I am able to rip and encode new material and transfer to my rh1 & nh600d...however -I can not re-uplaod the database from the USB drive using the Backup Library option. It tries to authenticate it online and tells me it fails verification and closes. So I re-imported the folders one at a time (only about 20 to test) and they all play fine. the titling is still there. no issues. until i tried to transfer them. I get an an error saying "Unable to transfer tracks"is there anyone out there witha quick suggestion? I know this has come up millions of times, and have searched the forums and tried other ways of doing things. no luck. thanks in advance Edited October 31, 2006 by karmageddon
Karmageddon
well just an update for those who are in the same situation as me...I have been able to get it to work, by remvoing the 20 or so albums and re-importing them. i guess something was amiss, but it is working now....for now.... Karmageddon
BUMPI thought I had this solved, but yet SS beats me again!I tried to recently transfer some of the same albums that had no problems 2 days ago, earlier today. I got an error saying tracks that are not atrac format or purchased from the connect store can not be transferred, or something to that effect.it is weird. cos if i delete the album and re-import it (as a folder) i can play it, transfer it, convert to wav, no restrictions. but every now and then when i re-open ss it won't let me do anything excpet play it. and if i check the properties for that song, it tells me i can't transfer it.what could be wrong here? this is a fresh install of xp and ss, and i never had this problem ever...
