Question

Hi i've been searching all over the net and have considered emailing Sony but they're making it impossible for me to find the right place to email them, anyway i looked on this forum and i was just wondering now if anyone knew how to change the radio frequencies for this device. Since i bought it from Japan the only radio frequencies i have aren't very useful now that i'm back in Australia any help would be appreciated thank you!

Eamij,

Welcome To AtracLife!

Since it was impossible to change the radio frequencies in E507 or E400series .So I assume it is not possible to change in radion frequencies in A600series) also .

You can look at the Service menu of E507 (Download it from AtracLife downloads)

if u bought ur nw-a608 from japan , it is impossible to change the radio frequency that is bcoz sony made a certain range frequency for players in each country, eg. the range for japan nw-a608 is way smaller than the 1 in U.S. As far as i know it is impossible to change the frequency, which is very weird coz sony could hav made 1 player that hav a large radio frequency range. This information is according to my friend which also has a japan version nw-a608 !

Japan uses 76.0 - 90.0MHz for its FM band. Much (but not all) of the rest of the world uses 88.0 - 108.0MHz It's a real shame because Japan made some awesome Japan-market FM tuners during the 70's and 80's that were electrical works of art.

Some Japan FM tuners are noted as: 76.0 - 90.0MHz plus TV 1-3. The Japan TV 1-3 corresponds to 90.0MHz - 108.0MHz. These tuners *may* have the ability to receive 76.0-108.0 in its entirity.
