lordbater
Something that just started happening is that when I'm recording a live show the recorder will stop and start a new track when it gets quiet. When I first begain using this recorder I did not experience this. How can I disable this feature?ThanksAndrew

A440
Menu - REC set - SYNC set - SYNC offSee page 42 of the manualPage 42 is for optical recording only. If you are recording analog through Line-in there is no way to turn off the auto trackmarking function. Not Sync, not anything else. It's one remaining minidisc quirk. You might try recording at a higher level so the unit doesn't detect as many "silences". Otherwise, you can upload the recording to SonicStage and Combine the tracks under Edit.
greenmachine
Otherwise, you can upload the recording to SonicStage and Combine the tracks under Edit.Last time i tried to combine a 3 hour hi-sp recording of ~150 tracks (a line-in live recording) in sonicstage it took several hours on a fairly fast PC, which annoyed me. Combining via the recorder might be fiddly, but saves hours of unnecessary computing. Might be a less reliable method though.
