I've tried the disk that came with it (which was worn out for sure)

then I bought a BLUE Sony 1 GB disk brand new

and thought I had fixed the proglem

BUT it still gets stuck on "system file writing"

and I wind up popping the disk out........

does it take HOURS to write the "system file writing" the first time?

what is going on

did I mess up this new disk

does this mz-nh900 work with 1 GB disks?

Is there a certain type that work with the MZ-NH900???

maybe I HAVE to use normal MD instead of HI-MD

supposedly you can record HI-MD onto the normal MD disks

is this a well known problem with the mz-nh900??

help is much appreciated

I just got it, bought it used

it was in storage for a year

havn't had any fun with it yet

I might have got burned

and/or, I need a certain disk that will work (not the blue)

or, it needs repair and I need to find the schematics on this thing

I'm still not sure if I got burned or not

I paid 200 bucks for it

this is the 2nd disk I've tried. the one that came with it (definitely was fried though) now this blue sony is also doing the endless sytem file writing...so I got burned...can I fix it?? there must be others who have this same problem..after a certain time I'm guessing...I spent 200 bucks on it...maybe should have bought new...I wish I had a bought a new one for 250...can I fix it?? or send it somewhere for fixing??? should I even bother buying a regular md, it SHOULD work with these 1 GB ones just fine...its probably the unit...@#$@#$%....I did have shipping insurance, so maybe that will cover it...still, any ideas on how to fix it are most welcome, I'm not afraid to open these things up...I'd love to get this one working...
