greenmachine
The NH900 should work with both standard and 1GB MiniDiscs. The system file writing can take up to approx. 30 seconds, but not significantly more. Try with a different disk of the same type. If the problem is still there, it's most likely the recorder. electricMonk
this is the 2nd disk I've tried. the one that came with it (definitely was fried though) now this blue sony is also doing the endless sytem file writing...so I got burned...can I fix it?? there must be others who have this same problem..after a certain time I'm guessing...I spent 200 bucks on it...maybe should have bought new...I wish I had a bought a new one for 250...can I fix it?? or send it somewhere for fixing??? should I even bother buying a regular md, it SHOULD work with these 1 GB ones just fine...its probably the unit...@#$@#$%....I did have shipping insurance, so maybe that will cover it...still, any ideas on how to fix it are most welcome, I'm not afraid to open these things up...I'd love to get this one working... greenmachine
I don't think it is a problem that can easily be fixed by yourself, i'm afraid. Better see if you can return it or get it repaired. Contact the seller.
electricMonk
any ideas where I could send it for repair??
bobt
Do you have any Sony facilities in your area, that would be a start. If not you can mail it to Sony. One thing to try, open the case as if to insert a disc, and try cleaning both heads with a Q-Tip.Good luck,Bob
