Question

Hi guys,

I downloaded the Sonic Stage 3.4 Version. I am impressed. Great! It's getting better and better,

perhaps perfect with 4.0? B)

Well, is it possible to use the NW-A series walkman alongside with Sonic Stage 3.4?

Please help me. I am just planning to buy a NW-A series walkman or a PSP.

But I would only buy a NW-A series if it works with Sonic Stage because I prefer it...

simon.giesen,

Sonic Stage ver3.4 is doesn`rt allow you to use Inteligent shuffle ,Artist Link etc .But I`m sure that these feature can used after some more updates .

But I don`t see any problems while using PSP & A-series together on the same computer .

Simon,

you can always do what i do and that is use sonicstage 3.4 to upload/delete/update track info etc onto the a3000, but then log into Connect to get all the updated features, apart from Artist Link.(Who needs Artist Link anyway, if you put your tracks into detailed genre's, it's almost the same).

If you do not add any tracks to the library in Connect, it runs very fast. All it will see are the tracks on your nw-a3000 when attached to the PC. It will then update the players Top 100 etc without any hassle, by reading the info off the player.

nuld - this is a very helpful post man.

I have trouble with connect - although latest release has helped a bit. But I am still very wary...anticipating the next problem (say - when i reach 2000 tracks).

so - just to confirm - if i download SS3.4 - i can import all songs into SS library, clear my CP library, transfer songs using SS and then open CP to update all the features??

if so- great !

Jof,

Yes my friend, it works like a dream. Just remember to clear your library in connect, if u don't, any updates you did in SS3.4 (ID3 tagging etc) will revert back to what Connect has got. Clear your library, and make sure you stop Connect looking at any folders (in options/preferences). I did this yesterday, and after updating my player through SS3.4, I just shut it down(SS) then logged it back into Connect and all updating (Top100 etc) was carried out. Works about 100 times faster using this method, than struggling with Connect.

Hope this helps.

thanks nuld man..!

what is the best way to clear my connect library? just select all and then delete (i cant think of another way)

on a related point (not that it will matter if i do this) - is there something on CP that cleanses the library of content removed from the pc? when i do a full sync - my A3000 shows less tracks than my library shows - but identifying which ones is nigh on impossible with the number of tracks i have...

new thread fro this perhaps??

Hi,

I read the post about using connect after loading files with sonic stage 3.4.

I've used SS before on a previous player and I liked it-so I used this when I got a NWA1000.

However after reading the thing about connect-I loaded it. I'm not really sure what to do when I get into connect to update my top 100 etc.

Please Help.

Cheers

Adrian
