MDfred1
HELP, HELP! I have ~150 MDs I've recorded from '98 to now, and can't get them onto my comp., MAC or Win XP! Recorded using MZ-R30; live music, trains, thunder, birds, etc. I have tried Sonic Stage, and once managed to get the files on the MD to show up, but when I clicked them, got message: "these files cannot be transferred", or similar. Sony says you can only x'fr files that have been put on by the comp. in the 1st place! Amazingly dumb!! I have also a "Net MD" recorder with a USB port, the blue MZ-N707, which I'm trying to use to offload from. Can anyone help me on how to do this? I don't want to just play them off and re-record in analog mode -- adding another D/A and A/D process! I have a SONY PCM-D1 dig'l recorder which makes WAV files, and USB port for in/out loading; it won't recognize the MD recorder for offloading, either. That thing broke my bank into a million pcs, and I don't want to have to buy a new HI-MD rec'r just to offload files with. I hope someone has figured this out! Thanks a mil. -- fumin' fred.
