RH1 track 'browser' without laser movement

Hello

I know that subject is a bit vague - basically, does anybody know how you can 'browse' through the tracks on a Hi-MD disc (on the MZ-RH1), without it actually moving the laser transport (and potentially causing a lot of wear on the mechanism)?

Like you can on a NH600, by moving the jog dial rotationally to choose your track, then press play. Simple.

If you can't (and I've searched the manual), then a disc with maybe 300 tracks on, searching for a track puts the unit through hell!!!!

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance

For a bonus point (!), can you do a similar thing on an EH50 Hi-MD player?

Cheers

It's also possible with the 38EL & 35ELK remotes, keep P-MODE pressed in for than 1.3 seconds, select the browsing discriminator of your choice: Normal Play - Group Play - Artist Play - Album Play - Bookmark Play, then enter it.

Normal Play will let you browse through all tracks in the order in which they were transferred to the disc, whether SS or self recorded; Group Play does the same as the group buttons on those remotes (handy on the 40ELK though, as it lacks those); Artist Play enables viewing of tracks by a specific artist; Album Play by album; Bookmark Play will show the tracks you will have beforehand "bookmarked".

Great, thanks a lot for your time - that's saved me a LOT of frustration.
