I went out today and bought the 40elk remote, was enjoying it thouroghly , came home needed to charge the battery in th RH1 so I hooked up to my Computer (Mac) Charge indicator comes on , I had a regular MD in it so the HI MD Transfer did not start up .

Charge goes out , so I hit the stop button and unhooked the RH1 , tried to play , nothing , nada no lights no nothing , I hook up to the regular power supply it played , So I put in a and MD that I recorded in HI MD disc mode and hooed it back up to the comp, it still said MD mode on the RH1 .......???? so I hit the Stop button , treid to play , nothing nada. Ejected the disc , It is right now plating in my MZ B10 ..which DOES NOT PLAY HI MD , this disc was recorded in HI MD mode , it is reading as LP4

And the RH1 lays quitely doing nothing ..........

Ok update , I got the RH1 running again , Took the battery out and let it set for ten minutes , hooked up the power supply with no battery in it , set the clock all that jazz, then put the battery in with the supply hooked up , Charge indicator came on , and stayed on , and it charged properly , I am recording on it now.

Update The 40elk remote is officially cool ,the only thing missing is that the Record button isnt on the remote , Cant set the Mic Sens from there either.

With that remote, if you have the unit it REC-PAUSE you can see the record levels and set the recording level.

Actually you dont need to be in pause , its live rec control baby , full motion very smooth while recording and I LOVE the meters on the remote , I have been playing with this thing for the past three hours , drove my wife nuts , ( She is sleeping now , other wise Id STILL be doin sumfin :pleasantry:
