Dear all,

I'm a newbie here and would appreciate your help.

Mine is a Dell Inspiron 9300, whose soundcard is Sigma Tel C-Major. My minidisc is Sony MZ-B100

I've tried to transfer my minidisc content to my laptop by using a a 1/8" miniplug-to-miniplug cable. I plug one end of the 1/8" miniplug into the speaker out jack, and plug the other end into the "line in" jack on the minidisc recorder.

However, my Cool Edit didn't recognize any sound when it records.

Do you think there is a problem with my soundcard?

My sincere thanks,

You are hooked up BACWARDS ..... come from the "Line Out " or "Headphone Out" on the MD . to the LINE IN on your Laptop
