Hey I have an MZ-N707 but am looking to upgrade since my ipod shat out. I have recorded a number of things to MD over the years with my 707 and was wondering if it were possible to transfer those files to my computer for cd burning, or even transfer to a hi-md disc. I use a stereo cable (line out from the 707 into my laptop's mic input) and audacity to burn things that I really need but the quality isn't perfect. any ideas?

Thanks,

Don

You cant....

The only unit that can copy digitally via USB from MD to PC is the RH1, and then all except discs you made with your PC.

The only way to get audio off of a MD disc without using an RH1 is to play the track back with the audio output of the MD player connected to the line in on your PC and using some recording software like Audacity.
