ILoveMinidisc
This was supose to be posted in News section but i was unable to create a thread there.Today when Scanning with Ewido antispyware i found traces of Spywares that was tracked back to Sony websites.although i guess they are not entirely spywares being Tracking cookies they also worry me.This is what i just cleaned:@sonyeurope.112.2o7[1].txt -> TrackingCookie.2o7 @sonymarketingjp.112.2o7[1].txt -> TrackingCookie.2o7I googled and found that many had it cleaned from a logbut there was no detailed info about what this Cookie does.If is realy is some sort of spyware then is realy bad move from Sonyalthough i guess is not entirely a spyware but i wonder what this cookie doesbecause it is a "trackingcookies" so surely it is tracking youI do know most websites install cookies on your pcbut most Cookies i had cleaned with anti-spywares has been advertising cookies from non-searious companiesThis is the First time i get a tracking cookie from a searious company.Anyone can confirm this and what this cookie does? A440
Many websites send cookies to your browser to tell them what parts of the website you've already seen, what unit you're looking for information on, etc. So you don't have to type in "MZ-RH1" again on every page, for instance. They're tracking your use of the website, nothing more. If you use the Firefox browser, you can set it (under Tools/Options/Privacy/Cookies) to Keep Cookies "Until I Close Firefox," and it will throw away all the cookies every time you close the browser. That way you don't have to worry about anything lingering in your computer. It's harder to dump cookies from Internet Explorer, and Internet Explorer keeps revealing new vulnerabilities because every hacker in the world is attacking it, so switch to Firefox if you haven't already. http://www.getfirefox.comMy guess is that your spyware program is trying to scare you for no reason. Try Ad-Aware.http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html
