Anso
Could someone please enlighten a very confused new owner of a HI-MD MZ.RH1? I have recorded my class playing their own songs in school and want to transfer the files to my computer. When I do that it first of all will not convert to WAW format but secondly it does transfer the file but I cannot play it. It keeps giving me the following message:00002460-2100"Cannot play this track because its licensing information cannot be found .For more information, contact the source from which you received this track."0084e0Why does it do that when it is my own recording? What am I doing wrong? I have looked in the manual and here on the forum but can't seem to find an answer to it. I have just recorded the tracks in school using a small sony minidisc microphone and not done anything to them but plugged in the MD into my computer. I have tried both Sonice stage 3.4 and Sonic stage 4.3 but I get the same result. What should I do? I want to play the files and the convert them to mp3.Help please! If The recorder gets vibration or movement , when it is writing the contents , it will cause TOC errors (Table Of Contents, which includes the liscensing info) That is the area where you have to be extra carefull with MD , not like Flash recorders, which have no moving parts, Think of the disc inside the RH1 as a small hardrive , Basiclly it is a MO disc , when your drive is running , you do NOT want to be moving it . See what I mean ? Erase the disc , and try it again , You can CARRY the recorder around while it is recording , it is just when you hit the stop button , for the next few moments the whole world needs to stop for you ,no movement .Watch the screen it will go thru two stages "Data Saving" then "System File Writing" then the screen will go dark and the machine will come to a stop.
