PeiGS
does anyone know of a store that sells md's (other than the sony store??) it's because the sony store doesn't carry the mz-n1, mz-n10 brands.. i was thinking somewhere near markham, but i couldn't find a single store in Pacific mall that sells any.. Does any one know of a place??Thanks
belletristik
For those few who might not be aware, Markham is a suburb of Toronto, the self-styled 'centre of the universe'...Onto the business then. These days, I always buy my blanks and hardware at the MiniDisc Canada internet store. Even when the format was reasonably popular in Canada, no one at the Sony Store has ever had a clue. Other than that, if you ever travel to other parts of the country, stores like A&B Sound (all over Western Canada), Advance Electronics (Winnipeg), Layton Audio (Montreal) and another store in Montreal on Mount Royal Avenue whose name escapes me all usually have the latest portable units.Although I've never been, people have always told me that the Pacific Mall was the place to go, so I'm surprised that you didn't find anything. RobA
You will have little luck finding any store besides sony style that sells units. And you won't find anything like the n1 or n10 anywhere. Some walmarts, best buys, etc. may have some left over discs and entry level net md units, but besides that, you won't find anything. PeiGS
(sorry for double post) so i guess the only way left to go buy myself an MD is to buy it online? and most of the time, i'll have to buy it second hand?? =(
A440
You can still find new Hi-MD units online. For the price you would pay for an old, limited N10 or N1, you can get the MZ-NH700, which may not look as cool but does a whole lot of more useful things: uploading, recording in PCM, recording 8 hours on a 1GB disc in Hi-SP. If you have to have an aesthetically pleasing unit, there's the MZ-RH1. http://www.minidiscaccess.com/generic76.htmlhttp://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/4415...3_Minidisc.html
