BIGHMW
I own an MZ-RH710 I imported from the U.K., and then after doing the volume/EQ hack, I teamed it up with a pair of MDR-EX85SL BLACK and a black RM-MC60 remote control, for use with my inline skate gear, and I just enjoy using it when I skate.Unlike the US/Canada equivalent, the MZ-DH710 (don't get the two confused) the MZ-RH710 has a remote/phones jack, in which certainly helps and it is even compatible with LCD remotes (such as the RM-MC40ELK, highly recommended!) as well.By the way, you need to know about the good-old "volume/EQ hack" for the European units, as I think it would be of GREAT service to you. The link to it is right here on this board and the link is:http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=9752 Edited June 15, 2007 by BIGHMW
michaeljwhyte
You don't happen to know where I can import one from by chance?
BIGHMW
Actually I won it on eBay UK, and that is how I got mine, however, there may be a user on this board from either Europe or the UK who can sell you one or get one for you.

Letztes Jahr im Sommer
...there´s a black one at ebay.co.uk. Maybe the seller can be persuaded to ship it internationally.
BIGHMW
That's what I did with the one I won, he had his original plans to ship throughout Europe only, but, I asked I he would ship here to the States for a bit extra should I win it (Royal Mail Air, registered), and he welcomed me on board the auction. I won it, and two weeks later (due to minor customs delays, no problem with me), it came in, I already picked up an RM-MC60 remote and then got a color-matching pair of MDR-EX85SL BLACK IEM's to go with it. BTW, the RH710 also works with LCD remotes if you want to use one of those, and for that (for a color match), I recommend the RM-MC38EL BLACK as included with the MZ-RH1, (you can probably get it through Sony Canada's DAPC, google it for specific URL). Considering I only use this unit for my inline skate gear (all black), an LCD remote was not necessary for this specific purpose. I do own also an MZ-NH700 that is my regular unit, teamed up with an RM-MC40ELK remote and MDR-EX90SL IEM's.
BIGHMW
I was only thinking of the 38EL BLACK because of the chrome trim on it, which matched that on the RH710 itself. But, maybe its matte black finish might clash with the jet black from of the unit although it matches the back of it perfectly. Perhaps I would also recommend the 55ELK in jet black which has more features than the 38EL and also has that same higher resolution display as the 35ELK and also has chrome trim.
