lil2001 Posted June 27, 2007 Report Share Posted June 27, 2007 i have a sony mzn 510 which plays recorded mini discs that i have recorded myself, i have just been given a sony mzr91 which plays pre recorded mini discs bought from a shop but when i put in one of my own recorded mini discs that i have taped using my mzn510 it plays but there is no sound are they a different format could someone please help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Try recording in SP if there is an option,> Do you use Sonic Stage or Simple Burner, if so go to at least version 3.4, and select SP on the menuGood luck,BobBTW, welcome!!! As bobt stated, you will need to use a newer version of SonicStage and transfer the tracks using "SP Compatibility Mode", otherwise they will not play in the older unit. If you set the 510 to record in SP mode the discs should play in the other just fine . All pre LP MD's will show that a song is there , but you wont hear anything. some of them will actually say "LP MD" in the display telling you that it is the wrong format.
