sector001
do u have your computers back up CD's? ... wow, i never even imagine a drag and drop software from sony...is it a Sony PC?
A440
i never even imagine a drag and drop software from sony...is it a Sony PC?VAIOs are Sony PCs. But that's not a drag and drop program for MD.The program seems to be for the VAIO Pocket music player. And it requires having SonicStage installed. http://www.css.ap.sony.com/vaio/Vista/Gene...p;Model=VGF-AP1Pic85, you should contact Sony with your computer's serial number, or look in VAIO Recovery/VAIO Recovery Tools/Reinstall Applications or Drivers and see if you have the original program there. Ishiyoshi
Welcome to MDCF!As an alternative, you can also acquire VAIO Music Transfer 1.1 (along with its update 1.2) from the "Download" section of our sister forum - ATRACLife. In addition, SonicStage is indeed required to run VAIO Music Transfer. For further discussion regarding VAIO Music Transfer please visit ATRACLife accordingly. Ishiyoshi
interesting, can it be installed on any computer?Yes, provided you have SonicStage present. Note: this utility does not support NetMD or Hi-MD.
sector001
sweet, i might look into it...yes i have SS installed and an ATRAC device.
Ishiyoshi
VAIO Music Transfer may not support newer Network Walkman. But I am not completely certain. Should you have further queries, please venture within ATRACLife.
theblueraja
I'm curious... would there be any advantage to me using this program over Sonic Stage if my music sources are CDs?? I mean, I like ATRAC coding more than mp3, and it seems that it "encodes" .wav files, so I'm assuming they become ATRAC files anyway??How would this work in combination with existing files/albums on a player... can you drag-and-drop an entire FILE of music and ascribe an album art icon to it??Thanks. RoGeR
TBR, nice to see you back I've used Vaio music transfer for some loose MP3s I got off a friend. Works a charm... although its pretty messy, no album art and since they're loose files, they only appear in All Songs category and not in group or album etc as expected. Anyway, I much prefer using SS than this.
