before i've made a backup from all my packages, (just click and copy not using the backup tool)

now i've impoted them but cant transfer neither play them...

first they ask me if i want to connect the internet because the track cant be played (download license) then it cannot load the rights of the track, the file format may not be suppoted by sonicstage, same thing acours when i want to transfer

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it since your backup method is simply just "copy and paste." You need to use the SonicStage Backup Tool to preserve the rights to DRM tracks. The only other method that I can think of that may help salvage your music library is HIMDRenderer 0.54. This free utility enables one to convert .OMG files to .WAV or other supported format. Good luck.

Hey with SS 3.4 coming out, which does not require DRM licenses, can this be resolved now or still the same thing..."Tough luck" ?

I believe those tracks Descyciede described are of DRM-encoded ATRAC tunes (tunes bought from CONNECT music service or encoded before there's an option within SonicStage to disable DRM); so I don't think SonicStage 3.4 can help resolve this issue. But definitely try updating to SonicStage 3.4. If it doesn't work, try the HIMDRenderer route.

Hello Friends,

In this Case "HIMDRenderer" will not work because it use`s the same DRM files (Copyright Registry or what you say ) that was used by SonicStage so if a file doesn`t play in SonicStage then you cannot convert that DRM wrapped files to any other format .

But at the same time you can directly use HiMd Renderer onto your Network walkman & It will convert any .omg file .(But the only problem it is not easily to find the file by it`s original song name instead it will occur as "100000A8')

This is big POO POO! But it's the only way.....play in real-time and record and save as new format, correct ?

I am in the same position more or less, I purchased my VP used and wanted the original songs on the VP. SS coulnd't play them cause I did have DRM licenses. I have done a lot of searching (TOO MUCH) and with the help and advise I have been able to find on this great forum, recording in real-time is the only way.
