raintheory
Yep, fell out of the car (wasn't driving at the time) and I almost had a heart attack because I thought the whole unit was completely dead... Then, I only had a mild semi-recovery when I realized it was just the OLED. I have the MC40ELK remote, which works great for playback... However, I cannot change the unit to manual record levels using the remote menus, which really sucks.I guess I could ask someone here with the RH10 to write out the exact menu operations to get to manual settings (hint hint) since the record levels are seen (and are adjustable) on the remote once the unit is in manual rec-levels....sigh,, ...I feel bad too because I had given the unit to my wife to use, she loves the OLED. Though I might take this opportunity to find an M100 to replace it (since she uses the Mac so much). ... I'll probably take it apart and look around for anything that stands out. I have a eyeglass repair kit that I use for "MiniDisc Manipulation" purposes

raintheory
Its definitely out of warranty... and they can't add mac support onto the repairs anyway.
raintheory
oddly enough the unit also doesn't seem to power down... it stops and all, but never powers down (until the battery dies of course)..
