New to this Forum (and any forum) today, hi to all you guys/girls!

I have a Sony MZ NH1. Would like to be able to upload the original time date stamp with my original (mic & line in) audio field recordings. Am using Sonic Stage v 4.3. How can I do this?

Sony Australia tell me they don't know and have no suggestions.

Cheers Royco

Actually I think the NH1 does have Date/Time stamp feature: http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-NH1.html

Do you have the Date/Time set on the recorder itself? With the RH1, if Date/Time is set it automatically uploads them labelled as the Date/Time if the tracks are untitled.

Welcome to the forum, btw :)

I am on a Macbook Pro , and use MD Transfer 2.0 , I have the Clock set on my RH1 ( I know it isnt the NH1 , but just for the sake of the point ) When I upload my files , they are dated or actually Named with the date , Ex. 2006-11-11 13_38.Wav

That is the actual name of one of my files . Showing the Date in Year/Month/Date(space)Time 1:38 Pm

I have just re-read the Sony Operating Instructions for the MZ-NH1. On Page 71 under Notes it states: “Transferred tracks will not include recorded date information even when the clock is set”.

I think I am setting the clock as per the instructions on page 71. It does not seem to mention that this feature can be turned off and on.

It’s starting to look like this time/date feature with transferred files may not be available with this particular recorder? If this is the case, then I think it’s definitely bad news for me and possibly other users. Hopefully I can still manage to transfer (upload) the time/date stamp somehow?

Thanks for your help. :)
