mtvkc
hello! does anyone know if there is a compatible remote control with LCD display (with backlight or some other type with lights) for the MZ-RH910 ?if there is one, where can i get it? i found one on sony.com but the remote does not have a display screen. i'm always struggling with my MD in the dark. also, which mic would you recommend for recording vocal classical music (voice + piano or voice + some instruments)i currently have the Sony ECM-MS907 that came with the bundle. It works fine but i noticed that it captures the higher frequencies and neglects some depth of the voice.Thank you very much! Reyemmicha
For a remote, just try the RMC38EL, that comes with the MZ-RH1. You can find it easily for cheap prices on ebay. No record button though. For a mic... If you want to spend some money, try a Shure 58. But am not sure if it is sensible enough. Perhaps there is musical equipment store near where you live. They should be able to help you out.

It is a stereo input with a very nice preamp , and the 907 is a Budget stereo mic , if he wants a nicer mic , the Nady , or AudioTechnica AT-822 . To use a Mono mic you have to make a special cable , which I have outline in a different post . Your MD then becomes an Interview machine , and you a BBC reporter . bobt
Best remote is the RM40ELK, nothing else comparesBob
Avrin
Trouble is that second generation units do not output as much information to the RM-40ELK, as first and third generation units do. But the RM-40ELK is still the best option for any generation.
