JesterJJZ
New guy here!Yeah so I have a Sony MD recorder that I use from time to time to hook up to mixing boards at theater to record their sound mix. Sound quality is great but my recorder seems to constantly break up tracks automatically. This is annoying when a 90 minute recording can result in having 40+ tracks. How do I set it to just record one straight track without breaking it up? I've gone through the manual and settings and can't seem to find it. As far as I know I have every option set to "off." I think it has something to do with silence. If I only need a mono recording I send a tone to the right channel and record on the left. Doing that gets me one long track. When I record in stereo it gets broken up.Thanks guys... Edited October 24, 2007 by JesterJJZ
greenmachine
Unfortunately there is no way to turn the auto track marking when recording via line-in (it doesn't happen when using mic-in). You have to combine afterwards - either on the unit, in SonicStage or with an audio editor.
