raintheory
Alright guys... In an effort to decrease the wear and tear of my beloved MiniDisc units, I am in search of a relatively inexpensive (less than $200USD) Mp3 player.Ideally I would want the following features:- Drag & Drop (so I can use it w/linux!).- 4 or more GB of storage, the more the better.- User-replaceable battery.- Line-in recording.- Support for various formats (mp3, ogg, flac, etc).- Sturdy feel (not cheap plastic feel...).And any neat/essential features I may have missed. If you know of something that doesn't have some of the features I've listed, mention it anyway. Also I am not opposed to installing rockbox for more features/codecs/etc. My MiniDisc units are not going anywhere! I just wanted to reiterate that... I really want to keep them in top shape for recording, so I want to find something to drag around for listening. Oh and... Don't even think about mentioning the iP** word. Thanks guys! Sammyboy
I'd recommend the Meizu Miniplayer 4Gb, I've got one of these and it has excellent sound quality, the enclosed earbuds are excellent also. It ticks all of your boxes except I don't think it has line-in recording, pretty sturdy and good quality unit too
