johnny9fingers
Hello, I am having a great time with my new MZ-M200, and wish I would have discovered minidiscs earlier. I do have a question. Are there portable recorders larger than the MZ-M200? It's nice to have small recorder you can slip into a pocket, but sometimes its nice to have a machine with a bit more heft, larger controls ect....Thanks for sharing info with an enthusiastic newbie.....Johnny9fingers
bobt
For Hi-md you could try the NH-800 or 900, or the 810 or 910, fo Net-MD lot's more choices, have fun, and look in the equipment browser in minidisc.orgWelcome.\Bob
Strungup
There is always this http://aes.harmony-central.com/109AES/Cont...-Portadisc.html
johnny9fingers
Now that's what I'm talking about. It is out of my budget range right now, but that would be a sweet machine to have. Maybe someday,,,,,. Thankfully I'm having a blast with the MZ-M200 and does everything I need for now. Thanks for the info bobt & Guitarfxr.j9fingers
A440
It's compressed recording: SP at best. But according to guitarfxr below, it does upload. Edited December 15, 2007 by A440
johnny9fingers
I was just day dreaming anyway. Kinda spoiled now and would want both PCM and upload capabilities, so thankfully I'm more than happy with the MZ-M200. Makes me wonder how I missed the minidisc format as I made my transitions from records, cassettes, cds, then flash. They are so cool, and the sound is wonderful, I'm hooked. But I will keep an eye out to a machine similar to the portadisc that has Hi-MD features, if such a beast exists....
Strungup
To be even clearer: It does not upload. You would have to upload its recordings from the M200.yes it does , It uses HHB own software , and uploads as wav
