I currently have a black Sony MZ-RH10 for sale on eBay. It was used sparingly, is in good working condition, and comes with 3 extra Hi-MD discs and 2 extra NH-14WM(A) batteries in addition to all of the originally supplied accessories and the original box. More information and detailed photos are available in the auction description:

why do these j***s put their ebay items on this forum seeing that most of us can't directly buy on ebay becuase od payenemys draconian restrictions. Advice: if you want us to be interested on your item, post it here first without paypal, see what happens. If you put it on ebay, we're not interested

I apologize if my post is inappropriate. I have seen other posts with links to eBay auctions so I figured it was okay. If not, I will remove it or one of the mods can feel free to delete it if necessary.

I know there are people interested in used minidisc players, so I thought they would appreciate knowing that I have one for sale. I'm sorry if the payment or shipping restrictions are a problem for some people, I'm not purposely trying to cause problems for anyone.

Not really a stab at you, but us non-paypallers think that if we had a chance first it would be a nice gesture. Paypal is too limiting, that's all. Good luck in selling your unit

Just out of curiosity, what restrictions does using PayPal impose? I can't think of ever having a problem in the last 3 years.

there are parts of the world where if like you don't have a valid USA address they won't let you join. What I can't figure out, if supposedly they accept Visa for paypal, why not just accept Visa??

The Cayman Islands are listed in the PayPal sign-up section. The only areas I could see not being allowed to join would be maybe politically unstable countries. Other than that, you should be good to go as long as you have a credit card to verify your address. The only thing you can't do if you don't live in the U.S. is get verified without a cc, in which case they mail you a letter with a special code.

Also, private sellers don't have the means to accept credit card payments directly, so without PayPal they'd have to rely on wire transfers and certified cheques/money orders. Overall, I think it's a great system.

I have to agree. I have been using paypal now for about 6 years with no problems whatsoever. The protection that paypal provides is also a great asset. It is not free, but I figure the profit they make/cost I pay is worth the security.
