kentek
I built a new kick-ass PC so I can do video and audio editing. I installed SS 4.3 on the new PC and copied all of my HiMD tracks to it. For some reason, I can't play any of them.SS wants to go to Internet for license info or the format is unknown. Can this be a Sony gotcha? If so, can I move my SS dbs from my old PC? Or copy it?As almost all of what I have I recorded I find it rude if Sony has restrictions like this.Much obliged if anyone can help. raintheory
See the link in my signature regarding "Removing DRM" ...After you have done so you can copy the audio files (without having to convert to WAV if you don;t want) to any PC and not run into any license issues. kentek
Well, I figured out how SS messed me up.I forgot that if you move music CDs to a MiniDisc via SS it owns your data and matches up the license crap in spite of your wishes.I'll redo. Sony, GET A LIFE!
A440
Once you run the File Conversion Tool, the library is entirely portable, playable on any SonicStage. It's a lot easier than the old method of running the Backup Tool, knocking on wood and crossing your fingers.
