RDRBerry
First post here.I have what sounded to be a good player, thew MZ-N1 bought with all packaging etc off e bay.Unforunately other than some pre recorded discs it skips on all the discs recorded on other players, and those I have recorded on it.The sound is great and its a solid bit of kit.I tried ordering a cleaning disc but have had 3 'no longer stocked' replies.Any thoughts or is it a bin it job ? Superbaldguy
FYI, the N1 had all sorts of issues with the recording head/ribbon connector, but the skipping is yet another problem. When you make a recording, do you get a BLANK DISC? If not, your N1 is still in tact. Are the recordings from a PC?
THIS SUCKS
if all else fails you could try to do an auto calibration of the unit in service mode. but this is a last resort. you might make things worse but it already seems really bad.
