Question: My NW-A1000's battery life

I got my walkman on the 11th ive charged it bout 4 times.The problem is the battery will last bout 6 hours without much skipping, but the battery bar in the bottom corner changes up and down then bk down but between three bars not 2.I havnt had chance to upgrade the frimware yet either

What bit-rates are you using?

I beleive you will obtain better battery life from using the Atrac format, rather than MP3, also lower bit-rates are more battery friendly (although obviously sound quality will be lost)

If there is a wide range of bit-rates being played i suspect the battery will be indicating remaining time being able play at the current rate. Hence the up and down movement on the baterry indicator bar.

thnx and im using a mixture of mp3s and atracs so ill give it some time so the charge cycles can get goin
