I started on the box today ( Finally ) for the supply for my Hardoff obtained Sony ECM-MS 5S Stereo Microphone

This Mic was (and still is ) about 1500 dollars US , I found it damaged in Hardoff , with no connectors or cables for 2,000 yen ( 20 bucks )

It has been sitting in a drawer ever since , but I obtained a cool case for the project recently .

Brief descript ....

1: 5 Pin XLR input

2: Two standard 3Pin XLR outs

3: Two 1/8 " unbalanced capacitor coupled outs for Md or any other device

4: two 9 volt Batts for 18 volts Phantom power

5: LED Indicator for battery level

6: Switch for Internal Power , or External 48 volt Phantom Passthru from the XLR connections ( Mixing board )

7: The ability to have it connected to a mixer , AND the MD at the SAME TIME ( Using both sets of connections )

Those are the objectives , I will post some pix soon of the box , I have to go to Yokohama tomorrow to find the right switch , and Battery holders .( flip up internal types if I can find them )

At the moment all the external connectors are mounted and it looks good , now I have to build the circuit , and the internals , we will see how it goes!!!!

Cant wait to hear this thing :dirol:

So this should be even better than your MS959c mic?

Doesn't it look a lot like your AT822?

I like the manual, detailed spec description and listed accessories. :)

yes this should best my 959a

we will see ...... the specs are nice , low noise floor, and really good sensitivity , at 150 ohms , should pickup fly farts pretty well :ninja:
