My Sony Minidisk unit has turned up missing, I had great results using this device. It had numerous features that were compatible with the type of recording i was engaged in.

1. I am unable to find reference to the unit i had previously. It was "metallic blue" i believe all the units of this model were metallic blue.

2. This unit has a usb and optical interface.

3. This unit has a compressor/limiter function.

4. I believe this unit had an auto mic level function.

I have yet to see a portable recording unity that had the features and ease of use this Sony minidisk had.

I am desperate to replace it or "UPgrade" if possible.

I need to know what the audio-philes are using now.

HELP!!

Whats going on, I see all the stores that carried the minidisks are no longer.

Has everyone gone to Digital Recording Devices?

If so what are they using.

I want to stick with the minidisk format it is cheap and reliable.

As for # 2 , that would mean it was a NET MD model

as for #3 There isnt a single MD recorder made , with that function That has been the bane of MD , no Limiter ( dont argue , I am an audio engineer and have owned almost EVERY SINGLE model of Sony's collection, still have about half)

As for it being BLUE ,......... lets try this , here is a link to the MD Browser , look thru the NET MD series , see if you find it .

The only other thing would be if you had the HHB Md recorder , in that case you did have a limiter , and it was Blue , and it is still made and available.
