NetMd - transfer mix - small blanks before each track

I want to transfer from CD the Ben Liebrand Summer Mix to a MD. On the CD, this mix is continuously and devided in +/- 25 tracks. You don't hear blanks while listening to the CD.

When I use Sonic Stage to transfer the audio: it generates small blanks before each track.

Recording it normally using digital-coax: no problem.

Independent of SonicStage version: I tried versions 1.5 / 2.0 / 2.3 and now 4

Independent of transfer methode: SP, LP2

Also tried to grab the tracks first with audiograbber (WAV) and transfer them with SonicStage.

I even checked the WAV-files with CoolEdit: no blanks before the tracks.

Independent of equipment: Sony or Aiwa.

Does anyone have an idea how to eliminate those blanks?

Had that problem too (years ago)

maybe you should try to convert the files to LP or whatever BEFORE transferring.

I'm not sure if that was the solution or if there was ever a solution - normally I'm recording in real-time.

(You know that the NetMD-SP is not true SP?!)

If I need to convert first in LP and then transfer in SP: that has no sense.

Anyway, I will now continue in real-time.

Thanks for the clarification.

I think you got me wrong.

First, There is no real NetMD-SP mode because the SP data you transfer to MD via your PC is in fact LP2, it will be playable on non-MDLP-units but is in fact transcoded LP2.

Second, I meant, you should import the music to SonicStage and convert it before doing the transfer to MD, because that's the point where the gaps happen IIRC.

So, import music into SS and convert it to the designated format (LP2).

And THEN transfer it to your MD unit.

Of course, real-time SP ftw!
