zmackid
Hi all,I did some interview recordings with my MZ-R900 in LP2 format. When I recorded from the end of a disc which has already 40 plus minutes of material, it failed to record. There were indications of recording (the input bar fluctuated, red light came on, I could even hear the recording when I insert earphones while recording) however when I playback, there was silence (the output bar does not fluctuate). So I tried recording on a blank disc thinking it was equipment failure but there were no problems recording. When I used another disc which had 50 over minutes of material the problem returned. Could the issue lie with my MDs instead? They are 74-minute MDs but I understand the LP technology allows me to record longer than that and my MD supports LP playback.Has anyone faced similar problems? I currently don't have access to another MD player, so I'm not sure if it might be a playback issue and my interviews were actually recorded on those "faulty" MDs.Thanks in advance. kino170878
Maybe try MONO instead of LP2 and see what happens. It could also be because you are mixing up different bit rates on one disc. Keep experimenting until it works. It's a shame you only have one model to play your discs on, get another model from ebay as soon as possible if you intend to stick with the format. THIS SUCKS
the unit you have has a variable record position. what they call "from here" and another setting called "from end" are you sure you did not overwrite the beginning of your first recording.
