Aiwa AM-Hx55 problem

Hi, I have got a aiwa am-hx55 player. When I instert a disc in, the disc runs ands appears the follow message: DISC ERROR. In the user manual tells that when this appears, ther are two posibilities:

- The disc is damaged by scratches.

- The TOC (Table of Contents) data is not registered correctly.

What can I do to repair this??
