ivansc
I have a pair of full size MDRs that I use in my little home studio and much to my horror I discovered that the optical out on my MDS JE 500 has somehow got itself ripped off the printed circuit board.I have removed the remains & checked that the traces & pads on the pcb are still OK but I have thus far been unable to find out what I need to buy in order to repair this.Sony are their usual inscrutable selves and I am hoping someone on here might know where I can pick up the opto-connector, or even a matching pair (in and out) that will work.IvanP.S. ivansc
Is this the same Dog that Ate everybody's Homework ??? you got it! actually I still have no idea how this happened. The two MDs are bolted together with two aluminum plates and travel well packed, but I guess some rough handling at a gig must have just caught on the optical connector and - byeeee...Hope someone can come up with info on this as I am stumped so far.
