NW-A608 Problem

Question

I've uploaded around 2 GB's of songs (or 1.9GB) or that I have like around 8mb left on my player. My question is, does anyone have a player that experiences a problem after you upload around as much as I did on the player, and when you go to unplug it from the computer, it takes like 15sec or so to load with the screen "DATA ACCESS" before being able to use your device? Also I have 8 mb of space left which means I could upload 1 or more songs, but Connect wont let me because it keeps saying that its full and there no more space, that song is less than 5mb. I have 8 mb left I checked it manually and with that 8mb I could drag and drop files onto it with no problem. Anyone else with that problem?

Usually, the systems require some memoryfor it´s internal program, we can never use the full memory of the device. for example, if you have a 20 GB player, you will be able to fill like 18.8 GB of music, something like that.

One question for you: I am waiting for a 608 to arrive (I currently have the 507)...I bought it because I need more transfer speed and 608 is 2.0 USB....

How long it took you to fill the 1.9 GB? (I´ve heard it is very slow.. hope it is not!)

because a real megabyte is 1,048,576 bytes

but one megabyte advertised on most products is actually 1,000,000 bytes

so 2"GB" = 2,000,000,000 bytes, not ... uh, whatever 2GB is actually supposed to be.

most companies do that these days.

If you have all the albums ready to upload on the connect player, then its not too slow, maybe around an hour and a half give or take.

And for the rest, I know I only get 1.9GB on my player (some used for memory) but on my connect player it says i got 8 more mb's but i can't upload a song (worth 4mb) through connect player, it gives me a error saying its full. but if i where to drag and drop something directly onto my device (maybe 5 mb) it'll upload perfectly.

thanks Deviatorz,

I am a LOT dissapointed if this is the load time.. I also have a 1 GB iAudio G3 and a iRiver T10 (1 GB)... both take just 4-5 mins to fully load them....

... I feel ripped off by Sony... wasn´t it supposed to be USB2.0?????

Might consider to sell it... >:-O
