PsychoPimpKiller
This may seem like a dumb question but do you remember what input you plugged your microphone into? If you plugged it into the "line in" jack, you won't get any recording. If you plugged it into the "mic in" jack, then you should have a recording. If you did use the "mic in" jack and there is no recording then that sounds like a technical question that I probably won't be able to answer. billy66
Hey whats up, yes the mic went to the mic in, it seems to record, save data etc, but when I try to playback it takes three to five seconds then the track timer starts to count , then stop ,then start agian and on like that. also when trying to record from a cd player using an optical line a message comes up saying no signal. thanks
A440
That's a very old unit, and the Write head may just be defunct. Try recording through Line-in--out of a CD player or something--but if that doesn't work either, it's time to contact the eBay seller with the maledictions of your choice. md user
Might be worth giving both heads a 'clean' (if you haven't already) before you give up on it totally. I bought an old Aiwa MD deck (on ebay) which kept having drop-outs in the recording. A clean up solved the problem for me. (I bought the TWO disc cleaner-set, on ebay.) I know that there could be many other reasons for the fault ... but good luck anyway! mdmad.
