Last time when Bill gates came to India .Everybody was asking him when Microsoft is going to launch X-Box 360 in India .At that time he said Sooooon..& now Microsoft has announces that X-box 360 will be released here in India till or Before Diwali.Good news but Sony has also announced that PS3 will released in Nov here .

The Xbox 360 system will come fully loaded with a 20GB detachable Xbox 360 Hard Drive for storing music, video and games, an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, an Xbox 360 Media Remote control and a Component HD-AV Cable for connecting to component and composite television inputs, an Ethernet cable, and batteries.

I think the main problem after they launch it here will be the games. Not the availability, but the pricing. It is far too steep at Rs. 2500-Rs.3000 for a single game.

Hey and by the way, what will I do with my xbox once i get the 360, do you think these guys are ready for an exchange offer, I think not...

As usual, we'll still have to import if we want it cheap. $400 is less compared to 23999, way lesser.

Right ,Rs23999 or Rs24,000($523) is very High .Many people will either prefer to import one or buy one from Grey/Gray market .

I don`t think they are going to take old X-box ..

And until the mod-chips and pirated games are released I don't think anyone will bother with the 360...

You can get games for just Rs. 75 over here, and compare that with 3000.

It doesn't seem long that 360 is gonna get chipped. Granted that MS put up a wonderful protection system, but you know hackers won't be far behind.

NB: I am not suggesting use of pirated games.
