Guest Stuge
If you want to compile songs in one group or unknown album under one Artist name or Album name .Then Select -->My Library-->in View Albums or Playlists & Sor by Artist & Album Etc --> The Left Click (wait for one or two seconds ) under the album name --> then give the album name to it -->Every song under that group or album will have the same album name --> just like this you can do this for Genre or Artist . Digital Pimp
I want proper proxy server support for CDDB.This was promised in SSv3.4, but I didn't see any difference. If Windows Media Player can retrieve info from Gracenote via a proxy server requiring authentication, I'm sure it can't be too difficult for Sony to incorporate this into their software. Chris J
I'll only move over to SonicStage when they implement the ability to synchronise the library with the Walkman like CP does.So pleeeease Sony, can we have synchronisation back please!?Having said that, I still prefer CP's layout. It's much more uniform and the device view isn't available in SonicStage unless you go through Transfer. And I don't like having to go through the annoying dropdown menu when I want to choose where to get music from. I much prefer the menu on the left of CP which has Library, CD's, Store, Devices and Playlist included... chriswyatt
Thanks, I forgot you could do it from the player. And I was surprised by how little battery power it used .
joeseptuk
I would like to see an editing function with in sonic stage, where you could edit, mix various tracks, something like a dj mixing software.Currently I know of no software which allows you to mix atrac files, you seam to be limited to mp3 and similar music files, failing this it would be usefull if sony release a plugin which can be used with other software. peterjf
My NW-HD5H and NW-A608 both display tracks by artist on the PC screen. This is inconvenient at best, but I realise that this is a 'characteristic' of the player itself, as oppposed to being a SonicStage feature.Up to SS 3.4, all the artists were listed in alphabetical order. However, SS 4.0 lists the artists on my NW-A608 by album. This is less of a problem on the A608 (with about 700 tracks on it) than it will be on the HD5H (about 14,500 tracks on it - I have not connectrd this to the PC since installing SS 4.0). There appears to be no logical order in which the albums are displayed. In theory, this should make it easier to delete a compilation album from the player, but there are two drawbacks. Firstly, in the case of the HD5H, the sheer number of albums on the player increases the time taken to find any artist. Secondly (and this will be the real pain) is that there are many artists who have tracks on more than one album. I can see it taking ages to find these.I would therefore 'suggest' to Sony that, for the next generation of players, the option to view albums on the PC screen that is present on the NW-HD1 be re-instated.
