0 7seas Posted June 1, 2006 Report Share Posted June 1, 2006 I've updated my NW-E005 just like was explained and without any probz.Are u sure that u run the exe file from the run dialog box and the file was in that the directory C:\FWUP;And do u have 3MB spare on your player as discribed? Try all ports on your computer until it works.If that still doesn't help, try using another computer to update the firmware.I have the E005F (Canadian model), I had no problems at all going from 1.00 to 2.00. I bought mine in Malaysia and if you look the MENU INFORMATION in the player, If is the same problem as mine, has the following information:1:-------2: 2GB3:-------4:v1.0The fields: Model number and Serial number are empty and for this reason I think we can´t update the firmware.
