The NWE00* series look like finally arriving in Australia from around 15June2006 but MySony members can get hold of a limited number (only 20 of each colour available) of them before the official launch.

Sony NewZealand has had these for a while although they appear to be a little more expensive there.

NWE003 $199.95NZD = $168AUD

NWE005 $269/95NZD = $227AUD

Then again they have the NWA608 !

Wow ! So atlast Sony has decided to release this new series everywhere ..I hope they also include India in this list .

As I said in the E-Series Pricing at Sony Style UK, it's pretty cheap for Sony. Last year's NWE-507 with 1GB and FM radio cost $349! This year's NWE-003 is $149!

Guess they realised that no one was stupid enough to buy something at that price when there were plenty of other alternatives at cheaper prices. The design was pretty, though.

I wonder if we'll get the accessories that Sony Japan are selling.

thats pretty cheap... for sony that is... i expected at least 200-250 for the 2GB...

but anyone know why australia doesnt sell the a608? i couldnt find it anywhere, and ended up going to hong kong to buy one >_>

Probably because they realised that by selling it at the high price they wanted, no one would buy it, and it was too special/expensive to make it cheaper. A wise marketing move by Sony, most likely.

I think Sony were trying to sell as much stock of the E505/7 as possible.
