SonicStage 4.0 with Sony NW-E105 problem

I'm trying to load about 130 songs onto a Sony Walkman NW-E105 device for my brother-in-law. He dropped his old one, and before I could stop him, disassembled it... So he went out and bought another one. I downloaded the newest version of SonicStage ( 4.0.00.05080) since the version 3.0 wouldn't recognize the device and kept crashing.

First thing: he's obsessive/compulsive. He has a list of the songs, in the exact order they have to be on the player. But then he wants me to make sure I set it for shuffle play!

And he wants the song title to keep scrolling.

I understand everything, except how to get the song title, not the album title or playlist name.

Initially, i ripped the cd's using windows media player into WMA files. WMP put each album into its own folder.

THen, when I imported the songs using SOnic Stage, it all looked good. But when I transferred the songs to the player, and set it to display the title, it only showed the album name, never the song title. I tried changing the settings on the player to show the song information - that had no impact.

So i moved all the songs into one folder, deleted everything from the library and device, and re-imported them. Looked good, except when I transferred them to the device, it automatically put them into a new group, and the player displayed the group name, same as the album name...

AHHHHHHH

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - software settings, hardware settings, or software replacements...

Thanks

Steve

Please excuse my ignorance. While playing with the device, found the switch on the top left actually controls what it displays... DUH...

Sorry.

Steve
