Those bookmarks aren't actually playlists they are designed more like menus to bookmarks, so I'm doubtful that you can delete them. (ie you can only delete their contents). They are really useful for creating a playlist on your device without having to connect the device to the connect player software. I often use the bookmarks on the move, if there are certain songs I want to listen to I quickly add them to a bookmark list and play them in the order I specified.
