I hit the power button, green light fades on then off, the orange num lock/caps lights blink, but it doesn't boot up consistently. Sometimes it'll boot up normally, other times the green light cycles for a few times then laptop turns on 30 secs later, other times it takes minutes, and sometimes a few hours after originally pushing the power button. The frequency of occurance is random:
Occurs when trying to power on from off-mode, awaken from sleep, and awaken from hibernating.
Doesn't matter if it's powered by battery or by adapter.
The issue began about 6 weeks ago after my roommmate took it apart to fix the audio jack (maybe he shocked the circuitry with static?).
No aftermarket modifications have been made to this laptop.
