I trying to figure out if it would be possible to fix a broken RH1 with parts from a working RH10.

As the Rh1 has a defect Laser and is missing its overwrite head it´s kinda useless atm.

I took a look and compared both and came to the idea of replacing the top of the insert mechanism.

I didn´t go any further till now. But i´ll try this tomorrow.

Unfortunately Jim don´t read my messages so i have to find this out by myself ;-)

The RH10 is all good and has had very low recording horus srored in its memory but the casing is cracked and the display is dead.

So this would be a perfect match to get one player working again ;)

That would be RH1 #6 if i succeed.

I guess nobody holds spare parts for the RH1 here, right?

hell yeah this was one of a masterpiece as it worked like hell.

I´ll upload pics soon.

One thing i can say is that the RH1 plays again :D I only need to put the case back together and then i´ll try to upload some discs.

The soldering is not what one should try at first instance but i managed it.Did it one time before with a NH900 so wasn´t that hard at all

Any comments on this ?
