Our 806 MP3 is not functioning on our computers.....we have not used it for ages but it will not accept files...music or anything else. Tried the old sonic stage 4.3 but no good, it shows "transfering" but no CIGAR!!! So I searched for newer transfer tools and found the Sony Media Manager, recognises walkman but says "File not Compatible"....
So further investigation on the Sony Support and they suggest the computer is reading the 806 as a MSD (Mass Storage) and not a Mass Transfer Device which is required....
On another forum they are say the 806 is redundant now as not recognise....
I have reset the unit, formatted the unit and I am about to hit it with an hammer!!!!
