Update: According to ITmedia, there is a strong possibility that the next PSP firmware update (possibly version 2.90) from Sony will incorporate support for "VoIP Phone" since the newly released PSP camera has an integrated microphone. In addition, the folks at ITmedia believes that the PSP will evolve further as a digital device should it integrate a "TV Phone" feature with the next firmware update.
Now, is this a mere speculation or a fact? We believe ITmedia is right on the mark considering the fact that Sony had indeed outlined such a plan (incorporation of Memory Stick Boot, Voice over IP and Network Support) during the Playstation Business Meeting held earlier this March. Stay tuned for further news!
