Question

Hi,

I reinstalled my computer and installed all software completely new.

I have installed Vaio music transfer 1.1 and tried 1.2 also ... nothing :-(

Windows recognizes my Vaio Pocket and shows the device in the windows explorer. When I start Vaio music transfer it always says: "No target device found, please connect a device".

What is this? I de- and reinstalled the software but it didn't help. Any suggestions?

The original CD from my vaio crashed during Sonicstage-setup.

Hopefully one of you could help me solving the problem.

You mentioned that the original CD from your VAIO Pocket crashed during SonicStage's setup. So, were you able to install SonicStage along with its driver?

Did Windows recognize your VAIO Pocket as "Sony HMP-U01"? If not, the VAIO Pocket's driver (Sony Mass Storage Driver/ATRAC HDD VAIO.Driver) is definitely not present within your system.

Hi´! Also having a similar problem, windows detects th the device (hmp-u01) but with an excalamtion sign, and it says that thereés a problem with the driver (im running Win XP Home Edition SP2), the most situable driver i found is for win 2k and when i try to install it windows displays a message telling that´s not campatible. Basically I can´t even acces the device through the explorer.

Any ideas????

I'm getting a similar problem. My disc is scratched, and it's bombing out of the installation process. It's recognising my device as "Unsupported Device". The message I'm getting is This device is eithor not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed (code 10).

When I run "Vaio Music Transfer" I get "Device not found. Please connect a hardware device".

Anyone got any ideas?

If SS4.3 was installed successfully, the installed latest drivers of Sony/Aiwa PA (inside Sony>Personal Audio Driver) will ready for system use. (Respective system driver/s will be loaded automatically - can be seen inside Device Manager>Shown hidden device>Non PlugNPlay Drivers>Sony USB ....Driver, Sony .....)

-----------------------------------------------

Please check the following from SS4.3 >HELP >ABOUT

SonicStage : 4.3.01.14050

SonicStage Add-on for Personal Audio Download : 4.3.01.14050

OpenMG Secure Module : 4.7.00.12140

MagicGate Memory Stick Device : 4.7.00.12140

NW-E2, NW-E3, NW-E5 and NW-E8P : 4.7.00.12140

OpenMG CD : 4.7.00.12140

M.S. PRO : 4.7.00.12140

CD Walkman : 4.7.00.12140

ATRAC Audio Device with Intelligent function : 4.7.00.12140

Hi-MD : 4.7.00.12140

Music Clip, NW-S4, NW-E7 and NW-E10 : 4.7.00.12140

CD-R 燒錄模組(Audio CD/ATRAC CD/MP3 CD) : 4.3.01.14050

Px Engine: 3.4.36.50

--------------------------------------------------

If hmp-u01 was there but unable to access, it may be no drive letter assigned, eg D:, E:. To rectify, assign a drive letter to it with Windows disk manager.

Hope this helps
